Could You upload a Miranda IM Portable [link] with all necessary plugins and settings? It would help new users to start using your theme on Miranda.

No, but I'm not sure if it's my fault or config files are outdated.

I wasn't using this with any Windows 7-looking IEView skin, I don't really know if there is one out there now.

It looks like you set the left margin to a higher value than needed. Go to options > Switch to classic options > Contact list > Row items and make sure Avatar is the first item in the list and that Left margin is set to 6.

Sorry for the delayed reply, hope this works :)

I do like your skin so much.
Just one problem. I think I did set everything like discribed in your pdf, but now it looks like that:

Any idea what could be set wrong?

I'll have to install Miranda and see.

Might be simply because the skin is pretty outdated.

Just to say mate, best skin for Miranda IM that you have done. I'm really sorry about asking all these questions, but I'm running Windows XP and I'm having a tad of a problem:

I follow the instructions and add 7.msf file to the miranda IM. The problem is, that in the skins, it is labeled as "Non-layered". And When I add it on, it just doesn't come out right at all.

I am sorry about this :(

You need to enable non-layered mode. To enable it go to Options Contact List Window tab and uncheck all the checkboxes in the non-layered mode group except for Use Non-layered mode and Show title bar.

You are on XP.

In non-layered mode, the borders are drawn by the OS. You need Windows Vista/7 with Aero Glass enabled or Windows XP with WindowBlinds for transparent borders.

Mmmh... Nice Skin, but I've one thing: The avatars in the contact list don't are squares (although I've checked the "Square"-Box in Options)... Any idea?

this skin is awesome. thank you for your hard work on it.

one question though, no matter what my status is, it always says "Available" on the bottom. is it possible to have that text change to what my status is?

As far as I know that wasn't possible when I released this.

I haven't checked the newer releases though. I will, and if it is possible, I'll update the skin.

thanks. if it is not possible i have another idea. is it possible to put a background image on the status bar frame? if so, then you could remove the "Available" image, move the show/hide offline users and option buttons to the top of the app somewhere, and use the status bar frame for that functionality. it may go against the windows 7 theme a bit but i think it would end up being better from a usability perspective. thoughts?

One more question :-P

When I replace the Icons in the Global and Yahoo Status, Miranda always uses the Yahoo ones though I choose use Global Icons.
So I can't make the icon next to avatar disappear, bcs when i do that, tray icon disappears too. :(

Please help

You need a notification plugin to make popups appear.

I used NewStatusNotify for that (you can get it here). After installing it you can change its options by opening the Options dialog and going to Status > Notify.

I tried to setup miranda and it didn't work. I use msn and I couldn't add any contacts. Any help with this?

Also, the skin looks pretty sick from the preview.

Miranda didn't work or the skin didn't look like in the preview?

If you've followed the instructions in the skinguide it should look just like in the preview.

No, what I'm saying is I don't know how to setup Miranda to work with msn. When I log in, no contacts come up and I can't add anyone because it says something like are you sure msn is connected.

If you're using the latest development build there's a problem with the msn plugin.

Download the current stable version (you can get it here without the installer) and copy msn.dll from the plugins directory in the downloaded zip file to C:\Program Files\Miranda IM\Plugins (or wherever Miranda is installed).

I did that and it still didn't work. Thanks for your help anyways. I think I'll stick with Windows live messenger. It's really good when you apply a-patch to it and take out all the ads and stuff.

Great skin, even when I can'tr let it look like it. The Aero border is with edges, and I can't handle the contact list to let it look like yours, you should also post your settings for it.
